Lighting, sound and make-up effects are vital parts of the key ingredients needed to bring to life the dream of the writer and the producer of a film. When creatively used along with the other elements of film production, a feeling of reality is often established. This indeed is an important index of the modern film industry. In the Nigerian film industry, however, the technical handling of lighting, sound and make-up effects presents obvious ineffective approaches. It is for this reasons that this study discusses the quality of application and effectiveness of lighting, sound and make-up effects in four Nigerian Home videos as an evaluative process of the technical efficiency of the Home video industry. The research is essentially library based with interviews of professionals in the Nigerian film industry. The descriptive and analytical research methods are deployed in the technical examination of the four Nigerian Home Videos mainly while relevant references are made to some others films. Suggestions and recommendations are proffered for the improvement of the requirements of the Home Video industry in Nigeria.
Its raining outside right now and I am so ridiculously tired that I'm pretty sure I could sleep all day long if I wanted to. I have absolutely no motivation to do anything at all, which is very bad because I have a lot of chores that I need to get done today. Due to the rain I have very little natural light flooding into my room which means very bad lighting for photos. I was going to work on photography all day today. I need to start choosing which photos I'm going to use for my college applications this year.
I think I've finally decided on my major for college, photojournalism. I've toyed around with the idea for such a long time that I think I've finally decided just to go with it. By doing photojournalism though I think that I'm giving up international affairs. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, but I believe that in the end it will be a good choice for me. Instead of international affairs I plan on molding my own major and majoring in multiple foreign languages. When I leave high school next year I'll have finished Spanish 3, French 2, and hopefully Chinese 1, so in college I plan on continuing all three of those languages and possibly adding another language, if not a spoken language maybe I'll learn sign language. So my idea for a career is to hopefully someday work for a foreign magazine, I would love music photography or even fashion photography. If my photography career wouldn't work out then I can rely on my language skills to get me through life. I could be a translator or even move to a different country and work as an ESL instructor. Hopefully this idea sticks with me and I'm praying that I get into my first choice school and somehow find a way to pay for it.
Mo and Ron at the Rennaissance on 8-31-08
Mo was such a sweat heart and is a Favorite at local Hospitals and Nursing homes throughout Chicago.
Normally the Farie does not allow pets but I asked for a special favor. I wanted to show off all my colorful friends!
Ron has raised and trained Mo so well that I forget he is a bird. What a cool dinosaur I like to say. At one point in my life I had 4 in one kitchen. Every time the phone rang it was like competing with screaming Birds all saying HELLO!
